The Southside Paddle Group is having their first group camping trip! We are heading up to Habitat Noosa for the long weekend in October, for an adults only trip, so that we can have a paddle out on the lake together and relax and enjoy ourselves.
Habitat Noosa offers eco-camping on 65 acres of bushland, right on Lake Cootharaba. With onsite cabins available, camping, motorhome and glamping options, there is something here for everyone! They even offer tours and cruises in the local area and have a hire option for boats, canoes, kayaks and paddleboards.
There is even a bar and bistro onsite for those looking for a meal without having to cook! The Cootharabar features a gelato bar, a boutique brewery and a restaurant that offers take away meals for you to take back to your cabin or camp site.
The Southside Paddle Group now has over 150 members who get together regularly (about once or twice a month) in the Brisbane area, but we also frequent the Gold Coast and inland lakes as well. If you would like to join the group to meet likeminded people in your local area, membership is free and it's also child friendly. Find us on Facebook and request to join. We would love to have you come along to our next event.
** This even has now been cancelled due to the Coronavirus. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Every year Griffith University Nathan Campus puts on a fun run through Toohey Forest to raise money for a charity. This year it is on Sunday 7th October and all funds will go to Diabetes Queensland. You can participate in the 5km, 10kms or 21.1km half marathon.
Mark Ward Property will have a team racing to beat the clock in the 5km challenge (as well as a stand at the start of the run where you can come and talk to us about buying and selling property) and beat our personal best time from last year.
We have sponsored the Toohey Trail Run for the past 3 years and will keep doing so to help raise money for the charity each year, and also participating in the run, to keep ourselves fit and healthy.
If you would like to register to do the run (and see if you can beat Mark - he's the fittest in our team), you can do so on Griffith University's website.
We can't wait to see you there!
