CHROME STREET FIESTAThe Chrome Street Fiesta is on again! The Festival will be taking place on the 1st of June at Chrome Street in Salisbury. The festival features free family friendly entertainment. The festival was first launched in 2016 by a group of residents and business owners to showcase the talents of people within the community. The fiesta features live music, dance performances, local art, information stalls from local businesses in the area and fantastic food for everyone to enjoy. The Chrome Street Fiesta starts at 1pm and the children's program and activities start at 3pm until 6pm. There will be a street parade at sunset, dancing to music in the street after dark and a mix of fantastic food stalls to choose from. Visual artists, performers and musicians will also be featured. Last year there were belly dancers, a burlesque workshop, art classes, face-painting, story telling, a clown and circus performers, musicians, costume making and a colourful parade.
There will also be an after dark dance party with a fantastic line up by the Rivercity Community Steel Band, The Parentals, Funklava, aromatic food, drinks. and prizes for best carnivale costume and best dancers. Chrome Street, Salisbury is home to Reload Expresso Bar, The Salisbury Community Bookshop, Yoga King, VSassy Academy (pole dancing studio), a furniture studio, Dance Pointe, and much more.
